BROWNSVILLE, TX – (October 15, 2024) — Ancora Education, a leading workforce training and solutions provider, has announced its South Texas Vocational Technical Institute (STVT) campus in Brownsville, Texas is adding to its skilled trades offerings with the launch of an Electrical program on October 14, 2024.
STVT’s Electrical program prepares students for an entry-level position in the residential and commercial electrical field. The program, a hybrid between classroom-style education and hands-on learning, is designed to prepare students to be a service technician capable of troubleshooting, servicing and repairing residential and commercial electrical systems, meeting the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) standards.*
“With the addition of Electrical, we now offer six programs in the healthcare and skilled trades categories at STVT Brownsville,” says Shane Yates, Executive Director at STVT Brownsville. “We aim to support our growing community by producing skilled workers who can go out to better themselves and our neighborhoods.”
